Picking Strangers by the Side of Roadways
Originally published in Edition 57 of the Brushfire Literary Arts Journal, this was a finalized version of the short story that got me accepted into the writing program at my university. Certainly not my best piece of work, but one I still really enjoy.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Tales of the Tape (March 10, 2008)
I wrote this in conjunction with Joe Dodson–I spent a couple solid weeks playing this game in Japanese and analyzing the characters, then distilled that information down to a snappy 200 words each or so. Joe made it funny and worth reading. It was a good partnership and we were both extremely pleased with the end result and the subsequent traffic that it drew.
Then & Now: Mario Kart Wii (April 28, 2008)
This is a look back at how Mario Kart has visually changed over time. I took screenshots of the various console-based Mario Kart games so that we could select the ones that were most similar to directly compare. I also took video from the levels I was comparing so they could be cut together in a brief video walkthrough. The easy part was writing all the descriptions, which I made light-hearted and humorous in the spirit of the game.
